DOVIA

Directors of Volunteers in Agencies

Our DOVIA program promotes the profession of volunteer administration and fosters the development of effective volunteer programs. The DOVIA program educates volunteer administrators through seminars on current issues relating to volunteer services, presented by national and local experts; raises public awareness of the importance of volunteers to our nonprofit organizations; monitors legislation pertinent to volunteerism; and provides a network for the exchange of ideas among volunteer professionals.

We can help you:

  • Exchange and share information with peers
  • Receive professional development and training
  • Network with other professionals
  • Keep up to date on local and national volunteer issues
  • Be informed of current books, periodicals, and internet resources
  • Participate in one-on-one consultations with The Volunteer Center staff, focusing on your specific goals or concerns.

Brown Bag Networking Lunch Forums

Networking Forums are scheduled about four times a year at The Volunteer Center. Please bring your own lunch for these informal networking and information-sharing forums. Topics are usually based on current needs and interests from our surveys to help build the capacities of our nonprofit agencies.

Upcoming dates and times are listed on our calendar.

Visit our workshop page to find out when our next Volunteer Management Training Series will be offered.
