| Patti Cohen-Hecht is the Executive Director of The Volunteer Center serving Western Connecticut.
Ms. Cohen-Hecht was appointed by Governor Rell in 2005 to serve as a Commissioner on the Connecticut Commission on Community Service. She also sits on her Congressional District’s Advisory Board for the Connecticut Permanent Commission on the Status of Women.
Ms. Cohen-Hecht served as the National Recording Secretary of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW). She is a facilitator and trainer, working as a consultant for local organizations across the United States. In addition, she has served as the Chair of the Connecticut Silent Witness Coalition, Chair of the Children 1st Initiative, President of The United Jewish Center and a Board member of the Jewish Federation. Ms. Cohen-Hecht served as a board member for the Connecticut Coalition on Volunteerism and was a founding member of the Greater Danbury Domestic Violence Task Force, the Pre-School Readiness Council and the Goals 2000 Committee of the Danbury Board |
